Constitution
of the
Article
I - Name
The
Name of this Organization shall be the Maplewood Men's Golf Club, here after
referred to as the club.
Article
II - Location
The
principal location of operation of the club shall be the Maplewood Golf Course
located in the City of
Article
III - Purpose
1.
The club shall provide facilities and services for its members in their pursuit
of enjoyment of the game of golf.
2.
The club shall provide for the general good of the game of golf and golfers.
3.
The club shall be Non-Political.
4.
The club shall be Non-Profit.
Article
IV - Membership
1.
Any male 18 years of age and older who is an amateur in good standing shall be
eligible for membership.
2.
There shall be only one class of membership - active member.
3.
Membership dues and fees shall be fixed by the executive committee.
4.
Each member shall perform his full duty as a member according to own conscience
and understanding.

The business of the club shall be conducted by the executive committee, composed
of the President, Vice President,

Officers of the club shall be elected by the membership Bi-Annually as provided
for in the By Laws.
3.
The duties of the executive committee and the officers shall be as specified in
the By Laws.
4.
Any officer absenting himself from three or more consecutive meetings without
proper excuse acceptable to the
Executive committee shall automatically vacate his office.
5.
In case of vacancy in any of the elective offices of the club, such vacancy
shall be filled by election at the next regular meeting
of the club following the meeting at which said vacancy is declared.
6.
Any member of the club in good standing shall be eligible for any office in this
club.
Meetings
of the club shall be held at the place and times fixed in the By Laws and shall
be conducted in accordance with the provisions set forth in the By Laws.
Article
VII - By Laws Amendments
The
By Laws of the club may be adopted or amended by two-thirds vote of those
present at any regular meeting of the club, provided that no action shall be
taken upon an amendment to the By Laws at the meeting at which the amendment is
made.
The
Constitution may be amended at a regular meeting of the club, a two-thirds vote
of those present being required for adoption of any amendment, provided however,
that a copy of the proposed amendment be submitted in writing by the secretary
to the membership of the club on or before the second regular meeting preceding
the meeting at which such amendment is to come up for a vote, and shall be read
to the club at three regular meetings.
These
Articles are hereby adopted as the constitution of the Maplewood Golf Club.
